WHICH TO CHOOSE

Should I use SceneNote or Frame.io?

They’re built for different jobs. Here’s who each one suits.

SCENENOTE
Choose SceneNote if…
  • You want freedom with your media: upload the file, or share a link where it already lives on YouTube (unlisted is fine) or Vimeo.
  • You don’t want your clients making an account: they type just a name and start leaving notes.
  • You work on your own and want one flat price, not a price per member.
  • You want voice notes, polls and a to-do list made from the feedback.
  • You want the notes on your timeline: markers in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, or DAW labels for sound.
  • You review stills too: thumbnails, grades and titles in image sets, sorted into folders, with a vote on the favourite.

FRAME.IO
Choose Frame.io if…
  • Your production team needs a shared library for all its footage, not just the cuts you send for review.
  • Several people on your side need their own logins and permissions.
  • You need terabytes of storage in one place: Pro includes 2 TB.
  • You shoot with Camera to Cloud, or review in their iPad or Apple TV app.
  • Your company needs SSO, DRM or forensic watermarking (Enterprise plan).

SceneNote’s own plans: see /pro. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
